At St Anne’s we aim to equip children with the knowledge, skills and opportunties to experiment, invent and contribute to the culture and creativity of the world. Art stimulates creativity, imagination and inventiveness so we aim to give all of our pupils the skills, concepts and knowledge necessary for them to express responses to ideas and experiences. It can also have a positive impact on their learning in other areas of the curriculum too. Through the children’s own exploration of art and design they are able to develop their appreciation for the art of other people and cultures, and the confidence to express their own thoughts and feelings through their work.
