Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium Grant and St Anne’s Catholic Primary School

It is legal requirement that we publish details of our Pupil Premium allocation outlining the spending of this money and the impact of this spending on the educational attainment of the pupils for whom the funding was allocated

The Headteacher, Mrs Gillian Murphy and Deputy Headteacher Mrs Claire Keegan are the lead staff members for disadvantaged pupils and Terry Phillips is our  Link Pupil Premium Governor.

For the academic year 2024-2025, St Anne’s will receive approximate funding of £173,067.00 for the PPG. In order to use the funding effectively, we have reviewed last year’s strategies, the children’s barriers to learning and also referred to the Sutton Trust toolkit. We have an ongoing three year plan which we evaluate each term to ensure accuracy/focused on pupils.

Support measures for individual children will be reviewed in response to our regular pupil progress meetings with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and teachers, progress data and in discussion with parents and carers.

We believe that it is important to build some flexibility into our spending, so as to make funding available during the year if our support and strategies are not proving effective and needs to be changed quickly to accelerate progress of the Pupil Premium Children.

The impact of the support measures will be reported formally to the Link Governor and at Full Governing Body Meetings on a termly basis. The rationale for spending is discussed at Governors Meetings and at pupil progress meetings with teachers and SLT.

The three year plan is formally reviewed annually.
