St Anne’s Catholic Primary School PE and School Sport Funding
During 202-2025 at St Anne’s we have been allocated £18097.00.
Schools have to spend the PE and Sports Premium on improving their provision of PE and sport, but we have the freedom to choose how we do this. We use the premium in a number of different ways, which include the use of our swimming pool and coaches, providing a range of after school clubs and purchasing new equipment for specific sports. A full breakdown of how we plan to spend the money is listed in the statement below.
At St Anne’s we believe that physical education and sport have a vital role to play in the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of children. Physical education and sport are important in giving children the knowledge, understanding and the tools to make informed choices about healthy living and have a positive impact on their own health and well-being.
The physical education curriculum at St Anne’s aims to increase pupils’ self- confidence through an ability to manage themselves successfully in a variety of situations. Children will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activities which are all carried out in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
